2024/2025 Application fee - Master's degree (Winter intake)
The application fee covers up to three applications at Aarhus University for the Winter intake 2024/2025. Please note that the Danish universities charge application fees individually. Please beware that only students who completed their Bachelor's degree at Aarhus University can apply for a Master's degree programme only open to applicants with legal right of admission: https://masters.au.dk/deadlines-and-important-dates/masters-degree-programmes-with-commencement-of-studies-in-january/february
Please note that it is still possible to apply for admission to a Master's degree programme at Aarhus University for non-EU/EEA citizens even though we have passed the 15 September application deadline.
However, please note that applications received after the 15 September application deadline will not be processed immediately but will be assessed together with EU/DK applicants. If you apply for admission to a Master’s degree programme after the 15 September application deadline, please be aware of the following:
- Your application will not be taken into consideration for a scholarship or tuition fee waiver.
- In case you receive an offer of (conditional) admission, there will be very tight deadlines in regards to the payment of the tuition fee as well as the application for a student residence permit. Based on experience, it can be difficult for applicants who receive a late offer of admission to get the student residence permit in time before study start.
Terms of payment
Payment can only be made in DKK and only through the web shop.
Your receipt for payment must be uploaded to each of your possible applications for admission.
Your application(s) will only be processed if the total fee amount is paid by the application deadline.
Refund policy
Your application fee will be reimbursed if you accept an offer of admission and are still enrolled at Aarhus University by 1 March.
The application fee will be reimbursted through the web shop to the account from which the payment was made.
If you are not offered admission, your application fee will not be reimbursed.
Exceptions from payment of application fee
If you are a non-EU/EEA/Swiss citizen and you are applying for one or more Master’s degree programme(s) at Aarhus University, you are required to pay an application fee of DKK 750 (app. EUR 100) in order to have your application(s) processed.
